Where do the clothes come from?
The clothes come from a number of ethical designers from all over the world. We are constantly expanding our rosta of designers and countries where clothes are made to benefit local communities in many areas across the world.
How do I know the designers and manufacturers are ethical?
We work on an understanding of transparency of our designers' manufacturing process. We know that all of our designers are working to make their collections as ethical as possible, many already use internationally recognised eco, fair trade and organic fabrics and fair trade processes or are striving to get official recognition. In some cases it can take several years to get international ethical or fair trade accreditation but we recognise their actions now.
What happens if the item is of a one-off nature?
Many of our favourite items on the site are made from recycled items, and as such are hard to duplicate in high numbers, often they are literally one-offs or, if replicated, may vary in colour or nature of materials. If this is the case we will make this clear to you in the product details page of the item. It also means specific colours, if limited, may sell out quickly. We try to only show items in stock, but occasionally items will sell out so fast of these limited numbers, the product may remain on the site but not be available. If this is the case and you order one, we will contact you and work our hardest to get it to you as soon as possible.

In the unlikely event of customer service being unable to satisfy your email or call request immediately, FASHION-CONSCIENCE.COM will endeavor to respond as soon as the issue has been thoroughly investigated.

If you cannot remember your password, click on the Sign In link at the very top of the homepage, and follow the Forgotten Password instructions.
How do I find a specific item?
If you know what you are looking for, use the Search bar at the top of the page, or the links in the top navigation bar, or use the many options in the drop down side menu.
Does FASHION-CONSCIENCE.COM have sales?
FASHION-CONSCIENCE.COM has occasional seasonal sales and periodic reductions and there are links to the Sale pages for each department of the top navigation. FASHION-CONSCIENCE.COM cannot guarantee that its prices will be equivalent or equal to offline boutiques when they go on sale. Also, due to the exclusive and unique nature of some of our stock, we can't guarantee that an item will still be available for purchase late in the season.
How do I know my purchase will fit?
Please refer to our SIZING guides for each department, and US, and European conversions for each item. Our sizing is UK based, and NOTE we adhere to the Italian European sizing. Here we guide you on the various size conversions and standard UK sizing. In addition, we provide notes about each item, if it comes up different to standard UK sizing in the MORE INFO tab. Should an item not fit you can return the item or exchange it for a different size of that style only. Please check our RETURNS policy and follow the instructions.
How do I know what is in stock?
All items shown should be in stock or on pre-order if coming into stock in a few weeks. If an item no longer appears or your size does not appear in the size selection drop down, it may be out of stock. We endeavour to remove any items from the site not in stock. Occasionally an item will be sold out so fast it may still appear on the site but is out of stock. If you order such as item we will inform you as soon as possible. Please be aware that even if a product is in your shopping bag it isn't reserved and can be bought by another customer while you are browsing.
What if an item is out of stock?
If an item you are interested in is temporarily out of stock or out of your size please email email@example.com to inform us of your interest. They will advise you if and when the piece you wish to buy is due back in stock. Please make sure you have registered your details with us before you make your request.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Maestro, Switch, Mastercard, Visa, Solo debit cards.
Is it safe to use my credit card?
All credit card transactions on this site are processed using Sage Pay, a secure online payment gateway which encrypts your card details in a secure host environment. FASHION-CONSCIENCE.COM doesn't hold your credit card details on the website. To help ensure that your shopping experience is safe, simple and secure, FASHION-CONSCIENCE.COM uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. This encrypts and protects the data you send to us over the internet. Further security information can be found within your browser. If SSL is enabled then you will see a padlock at the bottom of your browser and you can click on this to find out information about the SSL digital certificate registration. Can I order by phone?

How will I know you received my order?
After you place your order, you will receive an email confirming that your order has been received, which will contain an order reference number. PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM OR BULK FOLDERS for this email. This does not mean your order has been accepted by us. Once your credit card has been approved, the receiving address has been verified, and the item has been located, your order will be accepted and the item shipped. You will receive another e-mail notifying you if any of the items you ordered are not in stock and a tracking number where applicable. If this occurs your credit card account will only be charged with the cost of the items in stock.
What if I live in a country where FASHION-CONSCIENCE.COM does not ship?
FASHION-CONSCIENCE.COM ships worldwide. Please check your country in our drop down menus in the shopping bag. The cost to ship to your country for the items you have selected will automatically be calculated.
Do you ship to Post Office boxes?
We do not deliver to PO boxes as our packages require signature on receipt and you will need to arrange for an alternate delivery address. You must provide us with an address where our delivery service can get a signature.
Do you ship to multiple addresses?
During the checkout process, you will be asked to select the shipping address for your order. At this time, you can ship your online order to only one location, which may be different to your billing address, if it is a gift. Your order may include several gifts that require shipping to several different locations. To do this you will be required to place separate orders for each address you wish to ship to. How soon can I get my order?
We try to dispatch all orders within 24 hours if the item is in stock, however, please allow up to 14 days for delivery as external factors may cause delays. If your item may be delayed in delivery, for instance the item needs to be shipped to us from outside of the UK, or is a special order, we will let you know by email on receipt of your order. Please read our the DELIVERY tab for each item for any special circumstances. In some instance item may be sent direct from the supplier for speed, or made to order, so you may need to allow an extra day or so for this.
UK delivery by First Class Recorded delivery is usually 1-3 days.
UK Special Delivery is next day provided the item is in stock.
International Signed For delivery is usually 4-5 days from date of dispatch, but please allow for items being held in customs of your country.
For your security all items need to be signed for.
Please make sure you or a trusted friend/colleague is available to sign for your package. All UK shipping prices shown are inclusive of VAT.
How can I track my order?
All our packages are currently sent by Royal Mail First Class Recorded delivery, Special Delivery and International Signed For. When an item is trackable, we will enter the tracking number against your order and you will be able to find this in our order details, and track the item via a link to the Royal Mail Tracking service. Special and International Signed For services can both be tracked in the UK, and in some countries International can be tracked from entry to your home country.

How can I expect to receive my order?
Most orders will be delivered to you in the original designer packaging with minimal FASHION-CONSCIENCE.COM packaging. Most of our designers use packaging that is recycled, recyclable or from sustainable sources. As an ethical site we want your order to arrive safely but with least impact to the environment. We use FSC recycled, recyclable acid free tissue paper, chlorine free non- toxic label stickers, FSC recycled, recyclable delivery note and LDPE (the most environmentally friendly plastic bag we could find) Biothene delivery bag, which has special agents in it to make it biodegrade faster than other bags, ours biodegrade in 2-5 years compared to 100 years for some bags. We urge you to try and re-use all packaging we and other companies send to you. Our printing inks are all vegetable, recycled toner, or non-toxic where possible.
Is my package insured?
All merchandise in transit from FASHION-CONSCIENCE.COM to the delivery address is insured up to it's value against theft and accidental damage. Once the merchandise has been delivered to the specified delivery address and signed for, the merchandise is no longer covered by insurance. Items sent by Special Delivery are insured for up to £500.
Is VAT included?
Prices on the website and delivery charges are all shown inclusive of UK VAT.
